BILL HABERMEHL

 

Bill Habermehl has spent over 45 years in public education as a district administrator, teacher, and coach.  He served as the Superintendent of Schools in Orange County, CA for more than a decade – overseeing 27 school districts and more than 500,000 students – and retired with the honorable title of Superintendent Emeritus.  Mr. Habermehl is a notable published author and renowned public speaker.  He currently manages his own educational consulting firm – Habermehl & Associates – and co-founded a second entity called Connecting Business and Education to help companies foster

effective educational partnerships and business relationships.

TRISH KELLEY

 

 Trish Kelley has served as Mayor of Mission Viejo, CA more than four times and has been a member of the City Council since 2002.  She is Chairman of the Orange County Fire Authority Board of Directors, and serves on both the Southern California Association of Governments Transportation Committee and the Orange County Parks Commission.  She is also on the Southern California Army Advisory Council, the Trauma Intervention Program Advisory Council, and the

Saddleback College Foundation Board of Governors.

REBECCA MARTINEZ

 

Rebecca Martinez is currently an adjunct professor and student advisor at Chapman University in Orange, CA.  She retired as the Principal of El Modena High School in Orange, CA in 2013.  Ms. Martinez had been with the Orange Unified School District since 1987 as an Assistant Principal, instructor, student advisor, and program coordinator.  Ms. Martinez has received notable recognition for her work with students as a recipient of the Top 10 Teachers in Orange County award, the Outstanding Service to National Young Leaders conference award, the UCA/UDA Outstanding Pep Advisor award, and the OUSD El Modena High School

Teacher of the Year award.

HARRY LAY

 

Harry Lay has been the President of his own strategic business planning firm – Lay Professional Services, Inc. – in Tulsa, OK since 1996.  He is now a partner in a Public Relations firm in Tulsa.  Mr. Lay was the President and Chief Financial Officer of the firm behind the

Wal-Mart store openings in the U.S. between 1990 and 1996, and spent almost two decades in public accounting.  He provides strategic guidance to CEOs and business leaders worldwide, and spends much of his time teaching entrepreneurs how to successfully launch their businesses.

             JEFF LOVE

 

Jeff Love runs a law firm in Southern California, specializing in workplace misconduct and administrative law.  As Principal, he provides legal counsel and legal services to municipal agencies, colleges, and school districts throughout Southern California and beyond.  He recently partnered with another attorney to create an additional law firm in Southern California specializing in private investigations.   Mr. Love spent 30 years with the police department in Irvine, CA before retiring as a

Lieutenant and Public Information Officer.

I                                             VIC THIES

 

Victor Thies has been in homeland security consulting for 40 years, both as the CEO/President for Willdan Homeland Solutions of Anaheim, CA and during his almost 30 years with the police department in Irvine, CA where he retired as a Commander.  Mr. Thies is a nationwide emergency management expert, and spends much of his time teaching critical incident management, disaster response, and harrassment/discrimination resolution to law enforcement personnel and government employees.  He has also authored many published articles on law enforcement training and 

critical incident management.

                                             LINDY THURRELL

 

Lindy Thurrell is the founder and co-owner of The Academy of Radio & Television Broadcasting in Huntington Beach, CA which has been operating as an accredited learning institution since 1986.  She has spent more than four decades as an on-air broadcast talent on the West coast, and once owned and operated her own radio station in Lake Tahoe, CA. Ms. Thurrell dedicates much of her life to educating youth as the Director/Curriculum Specialist for her broadcasting school.  She is also a substitute instructor at a private K-8 school in Huntington Beach, CA and has been both a troop leader and advisor for the Girl Scout Council of Orange County, CA.
